One smartphone, Multiple speakers, Music wherever you are.

Imagine streaming your favourite Spotify playlist from your smartphone and hearing it throughout your home, from the living room to the kitchen, dining room and even the garden. No complicated multiroom setup, no running speaker cables, just more ways to enjoy the music you love.

That is the promise of Auracast, an exciting development in Bluetooth audio that opens up new possibilities for wireless music listening.

At Simply Sound and Vision, we’re always looking for innovative audio products that make great sound easier to enjoy. Victrola is one brand embracing this technology, bringing together stylish design, versatile wireless connectivity and a fresh approach to listening at home.

What is Auracast?

Auracast is a broadcast audio technology built on Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) Audio. Rather than connecting to one receiver at a time, a compatible transmitter can broadcast audio to multiple compatible receivers simultaneously.

Think of it as your own wireless music station. Start playing music from a compatible source, and other compatible speakers can tune in to the same broadcast.

For music lovers, that means exciting possibilities:

• Stream music from your smartphone to compatible speakers in multiple rooms.
• Expand your setup over time without committing to a traditional networked multiroom system.

It’s a simple idea that could change how you enjoy music every day.

Victrola Tempo: Your music, your way

The Victrola Tempo Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers are an exciting example of Auracast in action.

These stylish powered stereo speakers combine everyday Bluetooth streaming with Auracast broadcasting and receiving capabilities. They also offer RCA, optical, USB-C and 3.5mm AUX inputs, making them versatile enough for smartphones, computers, televisions and other audio sources.

Connect your smartphone, open your favourite music app and enjoy your playlist through the Tempo speakers. With compatible Victrola receiving speakers, you can then explore broadcasting that same music to additional listening spaces.

Imagine cooking in the kitchen while your favourite album plays in the living room, or having music flowing through the house when friends come over.

The Tempo offers a flexible starting point for a home music system that can grow with you.

From your smartphone to every corner of your home

For many of us, our smartphone is already our music library. Whether you prefer Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music or your own playlists, Auracast offers another way to share that music around your home.

Start with speakers in your main living space, then consider adding compatible Victrola speakers to the kitchen, dining room or conservatory.

Because Auracast broadcasts audio from one source to multiple compatible receivers, you can enjoy the same music in several places without starting a separate stream on each speaker.

It’s an appealing option for anyone who wants a more flexible listening experience without the expense or complexity of a full networked multiroom installation.

For more advanced requirements, such as playing different music in different rooms, established systems such as Sonos and BluOS remain excellent alternatives. Auracast provides another approach for those who want simple, shared listening.

And for vinyl lovers?

Auracast isn’t just for streaming. Victrola’s Wave Bluetooth Turntable brings the technology to vinyl, allowing compatible audio equipment to receive a broadcast of your records.

It’s a great example of how traditional music sources and modern wireless technology can work together. Start with streaming from your smartphone, then enjoy the additional flexibility of broadcasting music from a turntable or other supported source.

One system, more listening possibilities.

Is Auracast right for you?

Auracast is an exciting development, but compatibility is essential. Not every Bluetooth speaker supports it, and products must support the appropriate broadcasting or receiving functions to work together.

Victrola’s products are designed to make Auracast more accessible within its own compatible ecosystem. Before purchasing, check the specific product capabilities, supported connections and wireless range for your intended setup.

If your goal is to enjoy the same music in several places around your home, Auracast is well worth exploring.
